We are a small team that develops web-based software for event organisation. We offer customised solutions for our clients based on our own standard product, eventanizer. For many years, we have been supporting well-known companies and event formats across a wide range of sectors. In addition to the core applications, we also develop apps for Android/iOS and API interfaces for integration with client systems.
To support our team, we are looking for curious, innovative and enthusiastic developers who can engage with our clients’ needs across disciplines and both develop their own solutions and pursue joint strategies with us.

What you should bring to the role (knowledge and skills)
- Experience in event organisation and participant

Backend Developer
What you should bring to the role (knowledge and skills)
PHP 8
We develop our backend services using PHP 8 and the latest Laravel framework. In addition to minor PHP dependencies, we take particular care to design code that is maintainable in the long term, thoroughly tested and high-performing.
Relational database management systems (MySQL, MariaDB) – SQL
Our persistence layer relies heavily on MariaDB as the database management system. Despite using ORM abstraction (meaning we rarely write SQL queries ourselves), we require knowledge of designing such a relational database. We also use database replication to increase availability. Basic knowledge of master-slave replication and a MariaDB Galera cluster is essential here.
Team spirit, strong communication skills and a passion for learning new things
Given the size of our company, we place great emphasis on a strong team. Asking questions, holding discussions and coordinating closely are all part of our daily routine. Technical decisions are made and implemented by the team. We also encourage opportunities for personal development.
Knowledge of attack vectors and security concepts on the web (SQL injections, etc.)
To ensure our software is always operated with the highest level of security, you must be familiar with common attack vectors on the web. Terms such as XSS attacks, SQL injections or privilege escalation should be familiar to you.

Linux knowledge (Apache/Nginx, Redis)
Our server infrastructure and our own development environments run on Linux. Our backend services mostly use Apache or Nginx. We also make extensive use of Redis as a cache layer to minimise the need for database queries.
Version control systems (GIT)
We use GIT as our version control system. Branches, pull requests and merges are part of our daily work. We also use Bitbucket as our hosting platform, with CI and CD carried out via Bitbucket Pipelines.
Knowledge of Laravel
As already described, we rely on the Laravel framework for the majority of our backend. Knowledge of this is an advantage, but you will inevitably learn it whilst working with us.
Frontend Developer
What you should bring to the table (knowledge and skills)
Good knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript
Most of our software is built on the Angular framework, supplemented by a component framework (PrimeNG). Angular is developed in TypeScript. However, as TypeScript is simply a superset of JavaScript, it would be perfectly fine if you were proficient in standard JavaScript. We’ll get you up to speed with TypeScript 😉.
Knowledge of HTML and CSS
Web development always relies on HTML and CSS in some form. Although we use the CSS framework PrimeFlex alongside PrimeNG, we often need to define our own CSS to integrate the relevant elements effectively into our application. In addition, we naturally pay close attention to responsive design and accessibility.
Experience with component frameworks
It doesn’t matter which one. Whether you’ve worked with React and MUIX, Vue and Bootstrap Vue, or Angular and Material UI, everything is valuable here. What matters to us is that you understand the concept behind such libraries and can familiarise yourself with the documentation of a new library (in our case, PrimeNG).

As we are also rolling out eventanizer as a PWA, it helps if you know a bit about Web Workers. Concepts such as LocalStorage and SessionStorage are, of course, also in constant use. WebSocket connections to relevant services are also established to implement notification systems.
